Leaders Are Readers prepares young people to become thoughtful, informed, and articulate future leaders.
THPH’s Out of School/ After school Programs
Our educational program is designed to support school-aged children from 3rd to 7th grade with social and academic after-school or out-of-school assistance. The pandemic has caused a decline in math, reading, and history, making it challenging for schools to get students back on track. This disruption has also impacted students' social-emotional skills, and mental health has suffered. Teacher’s report increased behavioral issues, and data indicates a worsening youth mental health crisis. THPH’s Out of School program will help students academically, socially, and emotionally. After-school programs provide a valuable chance to enhance what children learn during school hours. Specifically, our ELA (English, Literacy, and Arts) program seizes this opportunity to engage and inspire students with a second set of educators who build upon and enrich the school day's learning in a different, more dynamic way. Moreover, our program offers social support by stimulating and challenging students' minds through board games and other activities that foster interactive skills with peers and adults.
